Take your Bibles and turn with me to Jeremiah 17:7-8. When we began to pray just about 5 weeks ago during our season of fasting, we were here on that first prayer night and the Lord gave me this scripture in Jeremiah 17:7-8. I believe that this scripture is very pertinent for our church and I believe that He's going to use this in people's lives. I believe that he's saying this over Harvest Community Church, "No More Dry Season".
The enemy has had his way for far too long in Jupiter. How many of you believe that? God is a wonderful God, he is a powerful Savior. The things that God is doing in our lives and in this church, I believe that the Lord has a word for your life today that there is going to be no more dry season. I want to teach you not only what the Lord is saying about that but also how to have that in your life.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 says, "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose hope is in the Lord, for he shall be like a tree planted by the waters which spread out its roots by the river and will not fear when heat comes but its leaf will become green and will not be anxious in the year of drought nor will cease from yielding fruit".
Father we thank you for your word. Lord we believe you are here this morning and we are grateful for what you are doing in this place. Father, we're grateful for what you're doing in each of our homes. Holy Spirit, I thank you for the protection of the Lord upon our families and upon this church. Lord, we thank you now that the enemy is defeated and that you are victorious. Lord, we stand with you today. May we decrease and may you increase. In Jesus name, Amen.
For many years the world has been in a spiritual drought. As a matter of fact I thought it would be really awesome if this morning the heavens decided to open up and just rain all during church. You know we need rain in Florida, we need rain all across America and I believe that what we've been seeing in the natural is certainly a reflection of what's been happening in many ways in the spirit, that there has been drought. Churches have been drying up, many have been closing their doors. Aren't you thankful that the Lord is moving in this church today. We come prepared to worship and get up in the morning each day, you know it's not just about what happens inside the walls of this building but what happens each day in the lives of our hearts and our homes.
Godly people have been crying out for renewal and I believe that many Christians are so hungry for a move of God and I'm telling you I believe that the Lord is answering that cry. You can sense around the land that the Lord is doing a new thing, a wonderful thing, and He's preparing the church for it. There's a great deal of religious nonsense that goes on in a lot of our churches. Many things are done that pass as spiritual in the name of tradition or maybe even in the name of just trying to bring a hype to what God is doing. How many of you know you never have to hype the Lord. The Lord is doing something very real and powerful and I believe that He's pouring out His spirit in our lives and hearts in response to the cries of His people.
There is so much more to live and so much more to have when we walk with the Lord. I want you to watch this, the truth is that those who follow God and do His will experience refreshing and fulfillment. They will receive it spiritually and they will receive it personally, no matter what the spiritual and natural conditions are around them. I want to say that again, the truth is that those who follow God and do His will experience refreshing and they experience fulfillment both in the spiritual and in the natural no matter what the spiritual or natural conditions are around them. How many of us understand that as believers we are plugged into something so much deeper than this world? We're plugged into the Lord. We're rooted and grounded in Him. Christians are not immune from going through dry conditions. I wonder if there's anyone in this room who's ever been through a dry condition in their life? Christians are able to flourish and that's good news today. Christians are able to flourish in the midst of the conditions of whatever the world gives.
When we started our fast, not only did the Lord lead me to Jeremiah 17 but He took me to Isaiah 58 and I'd like you to turn there this morning.
Isaiah 58:11-12 talks about what is a real fast before the Lord, what we do for Jesus. In this chapter there are some powerful promises for the believers that will seek the Lord. Verses 11-12 says, "The Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your soul in drought and strengthen your bones. You shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail. Those from among you shall build the old waste places, you shall rise up the foundations of many generations and you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in". How many of you think that's a good promise this morning.
I believe that God is going to do that in the life of His children. Christians need to know that they can live satisfied in spirit, soul and body.
Psalms 107:9 says, "For He satisfies my soul, he fills the hungry with goodness". He fills the hungry with goodness. The thing that's marvelous about drought is that many times we finally become thirsty and hungry. There are times when the Lord will allow drought in the natural to come and even in your spiritual life because we've grown satisfied with where we are with Him. He'll remind us what it is to go without so that we'll come back to the source so we can have.
In America we're blessed. How many believe we're blessed? The truth is you came to church today probably in a nice, decent car. You've got a nice home, good food. Some of us are planning to go out to eat, you don't have to go home and raid the refrigerator and hope there's something there. We know we're going to have it, we are blessed. Sometimes in the spirit, it's interesting that if you feed yourself on junk for too long you forget what really good stuff is. When I stopped drinking cokes because I became diabetic and I've got to tell you that the Lord was doing a work in my life. I prayed and said, Lord, if I have to do this you're going to have to take it from me because I drink it all the time.
I want to tell you, the Lord took it and as soon as he took it I realized how good water actually tastes, it really does and it's a whole lot better for you.
The Lord has allowed us to be hungry and thirsty so we'll stop being satisfied with something that is not all that God wants for us. The things of this world don't hold a candle. False religiosity and all the things that we try and stir up in the natural mean nothing unless you get the real thing from God. Psalms 107:9 again says, "For He satisfies my soul and he fills the hungry soul with goodness". I believe that this is not only a testimony of the people of God but it is a promise for the people of God.
It is out of the satisfaction that we have with Jesus that we will minister to others. It is out of a deeper walk with the Lord that we will produce a living fruit that will not only be productive for us but will be helpful to others. Lives that are personally satisfied and that are overflowing with health and with power to touch others.
The enemy for a long time has tried to cripple the church and leave us powerless and dry so that when we minister we don't have a lot to give.
How many of you know that the Lord will give to us, pressed down and shaken together. We always use that for money but listen, how many of you understand God wants you to be spiritually filled with so much in your life that not only are you spiritually satisfied but personally satisfied and then so much so that we are able to give into the life of others. Are you with me this morning? I just want to make sure. We got in this
morning and I could kind of feel that the enemy is kind of warring a little bit. I believe this Word is so powerful for people's lives.
Listen to me, no more dry season. I think that is amazing because so many people are dependent on the seasons. Let me not get ahead of myself for a minute. Those that are satisfied in drought have deep roots. The trees and the things that survive have deep roots. If you look at my yard, my yard right now is dependent upon the rain because I'm not watering. Listen, I'm a good steward of the resources God has given me. The truth is this, if the drought continues in the natural I know I'd rather have drinking water than a green yard. But my yard is dependent upon the weather right now, It's going up and down. Earlier this week it was dry and brown. After Friday's rain it is now green and blooming. I've got a fickle yard. Listen, those with shallow roots, I want you to hear this, are dependent on the seasons. So goes the season, so goes the life. But those with deep roots are not dependent on the seasons because they are tapped into a source that goes deeper than the things around them.
Listen, I want to speak this life to this church and I want to speak this into the life of every Christian, we are not called to be shallow. If we are shallow we are going to be dependent upon what is going on around us, depending on the day and upon the spiritual climate of how people feel and what they're seeing. We will be green one day and brown the next day. How many of you know that will just tire you out? God said that those who are going to be thriving are those who have deep roots into God Himself. When we talk about going deeper with the Lord, we're not talking about a new level of shouting or dancing or more hours spent praying like somehow if we don't get a max of five hours a day we've missed out on God. It's talking about a life that is fully committed, knowing His Word, rooted deeply through prayer and in the Word and in His life that is founded in the waters of the Spirit. It is something that comes from the inner spirit man that is not dependent on the conditions of everybody else.
You can see that even in churches, you can feel it even when you come to worship. You can tell when you come on different days and when you go through different things. How many of you know that all of us go through seasons? Listen, those of us with shallow roots are dependent on what's going on around them. I want to tell you this, I am thankful that the Lord said I don't have to be dependent on anyone else but Him. Those who have deep roots thrive. Some of my plants in my yard that have shallow roots, I've had to break my own code and water them because I'm renting the house. If I don't water them, they'll die. Those oak trees aren't having a problem right now because their roots are going deep. The Bible says that he will call us oaks of righteousness. Why? Because God is doing a planting of the Lord. The planting of the Lord isn't a shallow planting, It's a deep work that He does inside of a spirit of a man that is totally different that what most religious people are doing. He gets inside and we come into agreement with that Word and that root takes deep root inside of us, not shallow.
Anyone can flourish in the good, rainy times but only those who are wrapped around the foundation, and the thing that the Lord has said throughout this year and you see it when you walk in the church. I pray when you walk in this building and you look at that bulletin board that you just don't grow so used to that theme, "Strengthening the things that remain". That's what God is saying, strengthening the things that remain, not the things that are left over but strengthening the things that have staying power and will always stay put. Listen, Jesus is raising us up as people that will remain. Someone say a good amen. So the roots, being tied into the source of living water, that even in the dry times they produce fruit and they stay healthy, no matter the condition of life.
Colossians 2:6-10 says, "As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith as you have been taught". How many of you have been taught to be rooted and established in the faith? You can be taught something but if you don't apply it, now listen, here's what the Lord is doing. I believe that today God is doing a powerful work again in lives. Different generations are coming, people are being raised up, they're hearing the Word but people need to be taught the Word. We are being rooted and grounded in that faith that we were taught.
When I was in High School I didn't understand Algebra at all, I didn't get it. I passed it though. How many of you know that's sad even when you don't understand it you can pass something. When I got to college I wasn't rooted and grounded in it and they brought out college algebra.
I'm just not a math person, I mean I can add and for other things I can use a calculator but when you start telling me that the letter ?A' is actually a number instead of a letter, it doesn't compute real well. How many of you understand what I'm talking about? Because I didn't have myself rooted in what I had been taught I wasn't able to grow and pass until I got myself rooted into what I needed. So many Christians want to move on with God, they want to go to the next level and we hear that in the church, "God's going to raise you to the next level, God's going to take you higher", but listen, If you go up higher and you are not rooted, you are going to be so top heavy that you are going to fall over.
Listen, I'm talking about thriving in drought. You see, a lot of times in church we want to just have the easy fix but God gives us "The Fix" and we just have to receive what His Word says and then we can have what it says, we can be rooted. I believe that God is building deeply rooted Christians. In verse 7, "rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world and not according to Christ".
Yesterday when I was coming up here to pray and prepare for this morning, across the street is a wonderful guy, he's had his picture in the paper a few times and he's deep into his african american roots and even has pyramids in his front yard. But he believes a lot of things, a little bit of Jesus, a little bit of Muslim, a little bit of new age but there's only one God and all these paths lead right to God. He's so confused. As I was leaving to pull out of my driveway, two Mormon missionaries pulled up to his door and they were sitting there having a great discussion. The blind leading the blind.
It's important that as believers we are so rooted in what we know in the Word and the faith that when these philosophies and these things come at us that we are so grounded that they don't sway us in any way. "Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit according to the tradition of men". How many of you know that even in the Assemblies of God Churches we have a lot of traditions of men. If you don't dress this way you're not spiritual, if you don't sing this way you're not spiritual, if you don't jump this way you're not spiritual. Listen, some traditions are good but when they get away from what this Word is then it isn't good. "According to the basic principles of the world and not according to Christ for In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and you are complete in Him who is the head of all principality and power".
I believe that God is building deeply rooted Christians. I believe that God is calling us out of drought, spiritual and natural. God is calling us out of drought and out of shallow living, out of small expectations. Those that are rooted in Christ, listen to me, the Word says this, "Are complete in Jesus, they are complete in Him, they are rooted and whole, not bound by the principles of the world, the things that say that if this happens, this is going to happen. What the world sees as normal, the philosophies that expect certain things to happen in this world, those who are in Christ supercede what this world says is going to happen. What do I mean?
That means when the world is in a lot of trouble and they feel that things are falling apart in their life, they panic, cry and get depressed. They watch TV and close themselves in and feel miserable all their life but the Christian who is deeply rooted in the Lord doesn't have drought like that
In their life. They might feel the effects. Listen, how many of you know we live in this world and so the flesh is going to feel the outward effects of what's happening but inside God is renewing us daily. Why? Because we have the constant source of refreshing, no matter what happens.
Listen, I'm expecting great things. On Wednesday we voted that we would move forward because we need a new sanctuary, a new building. How many of you believe God is going to do miraculous things in the life of this church? It's just the beginning. I hear a lot of things, people say this property is worth this or that. Listen, the truth is this, we are rooted and planted into Jesus Christ. What the world says should happen doesn't mean that's going to happen. What's going to happen is that God is going to do a miracle. Those who live in Christ live that way because they are not dependent on what is happening in the world or what is going on around them and you can apply that to any situation.
Next week we're going to have some healing around the altar. We're going to bring my insulin and my needles and put them down right here. People might say, "You're taking a big risk to say it". Listen, I stood before you after I got diagnosed with it and I tell you the Lord is going to heal my body. Right now, they've got me on some pills. The doctor told me I've got 2 needles left and when I'm done with it to quit taking the insulin. When I first went to see my regular doctor and the endocrinologist, they said, "You're going to take insulin for the rest of your life". I said, "No I'm not". I've got a Jewish doctor and a Muslim doctor but I've got a Christian doctor who treated me first and we sat in the emergency room and we said, listen, "God is going to heal my body. I might feel sick now but my dependence is upon Jesus and not on medicine of the world". Now listen, I'm smart enough to take the medicine but I'm also smart enough when the Lord begins to heal, to put it down.
No more dry season. Listen, we need to quit playing games with this stuff. Too much stuff that we're dealing with in the spirit and we bring into our everyday lives that make us negative and discouraged and powerless and feeling like the enemy is always on the advantage. The truth is this, we are rooted in Christ and have the advantage because we are plugged into the source of living water. No more dry season. God promises that those who are rooted will have personal blessings and that they will be a blessing. Something happens in the life of a true believer.
Once they start getting blessed they can't keep it to themselves anymore.
Isaiah 58:11, first of all the promise that the Lord gives personally. I'm going to look at personal blessings and then we're going to look at the blessing we will be to others. The first thing we are given In Isaiah 58 in a true fast, "He promises that the Lord will guide you continually". Listen to me, the reason a lot of people are in a dry season and they feel like they're getting burned by the world is because they don't know what to do next and they don't feel like they know where to go. Listen, those who are rooted and grounded in the Lord, the Bible gives the promise, that He will guide us continually. How many of you have ever been in a spot where you don't know what to do? I love it because when I get in a place where I don't know what to do, I realize now because I've done so many mistakes in the past, that when I don't know what to do I need to stand still and ask directions. The Lord said He'd give you directions. A lot of times we get burned because we forget. If we are rooted in the Lord, He said He would lead us and guide us. Let me ask you, do you believe that? Sometimes you feel like the Lord is leading you into something and you feel that there is a wall. Listen, there may be times you have to wait or stay, or have to wait for someone else to do something but how many of you believe today that God is in control. He will guide you continually.
In Psalm 23:2-3, I love it. He says, "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside the still waters". As Christians, we're always waiting for the rough water. Now life is not always going to be a piece of cake but how many of you know when life is going bad on the outside, you are rooted into the water of the Spirit. Where does he lead you? Beside the still waters and to green pastures. Do you know it is possible in the midst of the turmoil to have peace? That's what His Word promises. He restores my soul, he leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake. What's a name sake? Those who are named after something, that's a name sake. How many of you have the name Christian today? For His name sake, that's you.
He says he will satisfy us through the dry times. When we should be down and discouraged there will be joy. Instead of dissatisfaction, instead of a life that is lived in turmoil, instead of darkness and gloom, the Bible says in Isaiah 58:10, "You're light will dawn in the darkness and your darkness will be as the noonday". That darkness means gloom. How many of you have ever had a gloomy life?
You know, Right now throughout the world you see a lot of people just walking around like Johnny rain cloud. How many of you know what I'm talking about? Everywhere they go there is this dark cloud but not for the Christian, not for the Christian.
You see, in the world in order to have rain it has got to get dark and miserable but in the Lord it can still belight out and there's joy flowing through. He promises strength to your bones and this speaks of physical health and it also speaks of spiritual courage. So many Christians are in drought because they've cowered to the enemy but the Bible says that we can stand up and face him knowing that we are victors in Christ.
I want to speak this to you, God is going to bring you out of drought and you are no longer some fragile, withered, broken creature. The Bible says that we are meant to be whole, to be fllled with boldness, people of honor, people of valor. How many of you believe the Lord is rising people up like that today? No more dry season. When you felt brittle and frail, I can go out to some of my plants right now that have shallow roots and I can just crack them right open. They fall apart the moment something adverse comes against them, they just crack in the middle of it. That's the enemy's doing. The enemy wants to leave you so fragile that the slightest resistance you get will make you fall apart but those who are rooted in the Lord have no dry season. They're so healthy that when the wind begins to blow they don't find themselves cracking. As a matter of fact, they find themselves standing and thriving in the middle of it.
The Bible says that we will be like a well watered garden whose springs of water do not fail. That means that we will be fruitful, filled with the Word and with the Spirit. John 7:38 says, "He who believes in Me, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water". Listen, if you're going to have a river flowing out of you there must be a source that you can't contain on your own. No more dry season. Turn to someone next to you and say, "No more dry season for you".
When you're not in a dry season God can raise you up to do amazing things, powerful things. I believe that the reason the Lord is strengthening things that remain is because the Lord wants to do powerful things through His people like we haven't seen in a long, long time. How many of you are tired of hearing about the revival of old and seeing what God did then and saying where is it now? The reason why they had it then is because there were many people rooted in the Lord. God is doing that in His people today.
Isaiah 58:12 says, "From among you shall be, those from among you shall build the old waste places". Listen to me, I am looking at people today, the Bible says, "those from among you". You might be looking at someone and thinking they're not much of anything or that God is not going to be able to use that person, I know them too well. The Bible says, "Those from among you". I get so excited about this, maybe I am
more excited than you are, I don't know. I'm trying to help you out just a little bit though. No more dry season. I am so excited, no more dry season at Harvest. We know the seasons that have gone on, we've been here for years. We've seen the seasons that have flourished and the seasons that have been dry. No more dry season. Those from among you and I like that.
I'm looking at people this morning that God is going to do so many amazing things through that you will be amazed yourself. We're going to come through the doors, slapping each other with a high five, saying look what God did this week through my life, look what He did in you. We're going to be hearing those things. The Bible says, "They shall build the old waste places". People's lives that have been wrecked and ruined, wasted and worn out, you are going to build them up, even in the midst of a drought that may be going on, you'll be so well watered that God is going to use you to build others. The Bible says, "You shall raise up the foundations of many generations". Those who are used by God are going to mend families that have been broken for years. Generational curses that have impacted children and grandchildren and have influenced cities and going to be broken. God is going to use us to raise up the foundations of many generations.
When I first came to pastor this church, people looked at our youth group and said, "It is dead". We need to raise up the Junior High and push the older kids out of the way because they're kind of dead and dry and there's really no hope. Let's just wait until the Junior High kids come up and then we'll have an on fire youth group. Listen, I want to speak this to you right now, we're going to raise up the foundation of generations.
I look at these kids on Wednesday night but they do love the Lord. They may not worship and be as pretty as you like all the time and might cut up a little bit, but you think back to your teenage years, you did the same thing. Turn to someone and say, "You did the same thing". If they cut up a little bit in youth group, that's fine with me, as long as they're not cutting up in the world. I used to sit through youth group and be an angel then go out and knock the kid out who had his feet on the back of my chair during youth group after church in the parking lot. All I did is know how to play the game. I'd rather have youth that don't know how to play the game. I want them on fire for God, just loving Jesus, being real, being themselves. We are going to have young people that are so on fire for God, you watch. They're good kids that are here.
The Bible says you will be called, "The repairer of the Breach". A breach is a gap, a hole. A breach can be made in a secure wall through war, through flood or through decay. Those that are planted deeply are used by God to defeat the enemy. Listen to me, the enemy had had his way for far too long and in too many lives. There's been a hole in the wall of their life and the enemy has just walked in when ever he wanted to. Some of you know what I'm talking about . You've been addicted to pornography and for you its been like the enemy has been able to just walk on in there with no problem. Some of you have just had a bad attitude and been where the enemy has had a breach. He's just been able to come in. For some its been fear, for some it been loneliness. I don't know what it is, but whatever that breach is in the wall, the Bible says God is raising up people that are going to fill in the gap where the enemy has had his way, where sin has had its way, where people who have not be complete and whole in the Lord, the Bible says that he is raising up people who will be called Breach people, gap people. I believe that God is saying what used to be a large opening is now going to be closed. He's raising up you. In Ezekial 22;30, "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall and stand in the gap on behalf of the Lord". I was looking for a man who is going to make a wall, i'm looking for someone who's going to stand up when the enemy is coming through.
Stand up together and join arms. You want to get at our kids, come on, we're intercessors, we're standing in the gap, you've got to get through us. Join hands with someone next to you. Listen, someone has got to be a gap person. Look, old, young, all join together. I look for a man, I don't care if you're a bald man or a fat man, I don't care if you're a skinny man, a white man or a black man, whatever you are, we stand in the gap. It's time we stand in the gap, the Lord is looking for intercessors. Intercessors are not just about this fervent, intense prayer that we have. I want to get this right because the Lord gave it to me. Intercession is more than fervent, extended times of prayer. It is active intervention in people's lives that drives out the darkness and heals the heart. That's what intercession is. In our church we're called to be an intercessor, it's not a gift, it's something you do.
Prayer is something we are all called to and we can intercede in extended times of fervent prayer because the Bible says, "The fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much". That's what intercession does. The church needs to pray like that again. We come and we pray like nothing is going to happen. Intercession says that I know in the times of dryness I'm going to pray and the Lord is going to send rain. Elijah went to King Ahab when there was sin in the land and said, listen, there is going to be a drought and your going to suffer a long time because you have not been seeking God. But Elijah was provided for, God sent him to a brook and he had lots of water. He even commanded the birds of the air to come on down to feed him. Listen, when we pray and intercede we can expect God to send rain. He came to the King and said, "I am going to kill all those priests of Baal and then I'm going to pray and there's going to be rain". Listen, there is rain that is coming into your life and into my life because God is raising up an Elijah generation, an Elijah spirit in the lives and the hearts of people. No more dry season.
Intercessors are those who are willing to get involved in others lives and stand in the gap, to hold each other accountable, to love each other when no one else loves someone, to care for them. Those who don't have dry seasons are intercessors.
You will find very quickly that churches that die and Christians that are dissatisfied with their walk with the Lord are those who only come to church on Sundays or Wednesdays and do nothing during the week in the ministry that God has given them for their life. Everyone of us in this room has a ministry. This place that you come on Sunday mornings, this place where you get plugged in you get filled up and hear the Word of God, and it helps equip you to go out and do what you're going to do through the rest of the week for His glory.
I want you to look at Isaiah 58:6-10. I'm not going to preach all this but I want you to hear what the Lord is saying here because it's exciting stuff. Here's what intercessors do and then the blessings that come from being an intercessor. Verse 6 says, "Is this not the fast that I have chosen". Now my prayer is that we will be a fasting church, not a people that all the time are going without food, although God knows a lot of us can go without as much food but I want to speak this. I'm going to tell you as your pastor, that I'm so tired of religious stuff that does nothing and people wind up disappointed. God tells us we should fast, we should abstain from food, there are times for that. Some things are only broken from prayer and fasting. How many of you believe that?
The true fast are those who live their lives for the Lord. "Is this not the fast that I have chosen, to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undue the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free and that you break every yolk. Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house and when you see the naked that you cover them and not hide yourself from your own flesh. Watch, then your light shall break forth like the morning. Your healing shall spring forth speedily, your righteousness shall go before you. The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call and the Lord will answer. You shall cry and He will say, "Here I am", if you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger which is gossip and speaking wickedness. If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness and your darkness shall be as the noonday". To me this is exciting stuff, this is so powerful. What we've just read is the key to having no dry season in your life, to making sure that you're rooted in the Lord but you've also got the constant flow of the Lord working in and through us.
Listen, do you want to see this church thrive? People say, "Pastor, I'm excited about what's going on here, the seats are full, we're sitting in the foyer many weeks and God is doing some good things". Listen, if we want to see the blessing of the Lord continue then we need to be on a true fast. It's more than us coming to be served, it's us serving the Lord.
It's so important. The Bible says sickness goes, depression goes, sin is going to go, we're going to be protected behind and before. You know when you think that the world is going to slap you on the back. How many of you have been slammed when you thought you were going forward, the enemy just came and smacked you on the back of the head. The truth is this, when you are walking with the Lord and are doing His work, the enemy may come up behind you and you won't even now he was there because the Lord is your rear guard. You're not going to get knocked over, tripped up, fouled up, tied up. The Bible says you will call and the Lord will answer.
