Harvest Community Church Vision and Direction
Our Mission Statement
"To Know God, and Make Him Known" By His Love, In His Power and Through His Grace.
Our Vision Statement
To be a church that equips and trains Christians to do the work of the ministry and win the lost on a local and worldwide scale. To challenge Christians to have a deeper walk with Christ. To actively and practically demonstrate the love of Christ to those who are hurting or in need. We will impact every segment of our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Six ways we will accomplish our vision...
-
To promote an atmosphere of freedom and victory in praise to God through sold out love for the savior.
-
To help Christians become mature disciples of Christ. On fire and radical. Where their gifts and talents are utilized. To build believers in the image of Christ, so that we are a people of Maturity, healing, boldness, confidence and righteousness. Key word- Growth
-
To minister to the needs of our community and win souls for Christ.
-
To help people dream and reach for excellence in their lives.
-
To be a church where life long friends are made. Where we become a family that can always enlarge its circle of love. Key Word- Acceptance.
-
To be a place of healing that reflects the compassion of the Lord and people find wholeness in Him.
Our Motto
Love God, Love People, Love Life
Our Mantle
Isaiah 61:1-3 - The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim the liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console all those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.
Our Five Main Purposes
-
Worship - Our first and greatest command from God is to Love Him with all our heart, soul mind and strength. Worship is not a song; it is a life style lived to the Glory of God. Matthew 22:37-38
-
Prayer - It is up to the church to pray for God's will on the earth. It is out of time spent with God that great things for the Kingdom are accomplished. It is through prayer that God builds his Church. Matthew 16:18-19
-
Fellowship - The Church is a community of believers. It is a family- loving together and caring for one another. We are a body with many members; every member of the church needs the other members. God uses each of us to supply something to someone else. 1 Corinthians 12:12
-
Teaching - Foundational to all that is done in the church is the Word of God. The Word of God builds and equips believers to be and to do what God desires. It is his word that helps us remain in Him. Mark 13:31, John 15:15-16
-
Evangelism - The Church is called to let people know of God's good news for the world. The church is called to heal the sick, deliver the oppressed and set the captive free. We have the answer to the world's problems and we must share Him. The purpose of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is the power to witness. All we do in worship, prayer, fellowship and teaching is preparation for evangelism. God gave Jesus because He loves the world. Mark 16:15-18, Acts 1:8
